In my humble opinion, it’s not that there hasn’t been enough prayers of 2 Chronicles 7:14 from Christians around the world the LAST TWO YEARS for the global COVID pandemic:
However, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, search for me, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear ⌞their prayer⌟ from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country.
2 Chronicles 7:14 GW
The issue is, however, whether we’ve done our part in the if-then statement:
Humbling ourselves – check.
Pray – check.
Search for God – check.
Turn from our evil ways – THIS is our MAJOR failure, ESPECIALLY when it comes to looking out for the disenfranchised, whom Jesus identifies with PERSONALLY (read Matthew 25 Sheep and Goats).
God is faithful – He will fulfill His promise. If you’re Christian and you’re serious about wanting God to end this pandemic, STOP ignoring the suffering of the poor within your periphery of vision and influence.
